Connected Farm by Farm Works

Below are a few of the possible components that may be used in a Connected Farm™ solution:

Office Sync – Exchange prescription maps, A/B guidance lines, drainage designs, soil sampling/scouting jobs, and yield data between the office and field without a USB flash drive.
Vehicle Sync – Share A/B guidance lines, coverage maps, and point/line/area features from vehicle-to-vehicle without a USB flash drive.
Vehicle Manager - Allows you to track vehicle movement in order to maximize fuel usage and improve fleet management. Vehicle Manager may also be used to place geo-fences around farms and fields to identify when vehicles are entering or leaving a site in order to eliminate incorrect chemical application on crops and minimize vehicle theft.
Trimble® CenterPoint™ VRS™ - Enables RTK corrections over a large geographic area, where robust cellular data coverage is available. Network processing ensures high accuracy throughout the whole coverage area. CenterPoint VRS ensures repeatable accuracy year-over-year for precision guidance applications.

Farm Works™ Mapping software - Provides both basic and advanced layering functionality while maintaining a complete field record keeping system. Flexible to handle multiple types of hardware solutions, Farm Works Mapping allows you to make management decisions from yield data, soil types, soil test results, hybrids, and more.
A computer - A dedicated desktop or laptop with Microsoft® Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or 7, plus a minimum of 128 MB memory and 50 MB hard drive space.
Internet Access - We suggest a high-speed connection of 1 MPS or higher.

Trimble® FmX® integrated display – With industry-leading performance and reliability, the FmX integrated display can handle all your precision ag needs and is the perfect in-cab display for Connected Farm. The FmX is capable of performing yield monitoring, prescription based rate control, field leveling operations, any many more precision ag functions. The FmX can easily be combined with a myriad of software options from Farm Works, and can act as the hub for your field operations with Connected Farm.
Trimble® CFX-750™ display – The newest touchscreen display from Trimble offering affordable guidance, steering and precision agriculture capabilities. The CFX-750 is an excellent choice for use with Connected Farm due to its reasonable price point and easy user interface. Transferring your day’s coverage wirelessly via Connected Farm from the CFX-750 to your office computer can be accomplished in just a few simple steps.
Trimble DCM-300 modem - The new all-in-one DCM300 modem provides high-speed connectivity for Connected Farm applications. It delivers VRS RTK corrections and handles wireless data transfer, controlling data being sent from the farm office or to track assets in the field. The FmX™ integrated display and CFX-750™ display can utilize the DCM300 modem to provide a CDMA or GPRS/GSM network connection.

Trimble Juno™ SC and/or Nomad™ 900XE handheld with integrated Farm Works Mobile software.
Trimble Yuma™ tablet computer with integrated Farm Works Mobile software.
Any Windows device (including a PDA using Windows Mobile) with integrated Farm Works Mobile software.

Connected Farm Device Connections – An annual device connection for Office Sync, Vehicle Manager, and/or CenterPoint VRS is required and purchasable through a Farm Works or Trimble dealer.
Wireless Data Plan – You may purchase a wireless data plan from Trimble or from the provider of your choice. There are no restrictions on the carrier you choose, as long as they are CDMA or GSM/GPRS compatible.
